Introduction to Telesupervision

The COVID-19 pandemic led many behavioral health professionals to pivot to telehealth service delivery to continue to provide care during social distancing and shelter-in-place regulations. Similarly, supervisors of behavioral health professionals and paraprofessionals have shifted to telesupervision to continue to meet the needs of supervisees in the midst of the pandemic. The advantages of telehealth will likely prompt many supervisors to continue with telesupervision. Supervisors need to understand the complexities and challenges associated with supervising staff remotely.

The goal of this course is to help addiction, behavioral health counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, and social work professionals in behavioral health settings gain knowledge about how to engage in telesupervision services.
