Meal Preparation

Preparing meals is an essential part of everyone's day. You may be responsible for helping the people you support to prepare their meals. It is important that you know the basics of how to plan and prepare meals with and for the people you support. In this course, you will learn about key considerations in preparing meals, including kitchen safety. You will also learn how you can help the people you support get involved with preparing their own meals. Basic cooking skills are beyond the scope of this course.

The goal of this course is to introduce DSPs in IDD service settings to common issues with meal preparation.
